Copyright & takedown

How we handle copyright
BuddyBuffer lets friends watch YouTube, their own uploads and shared screens together. We act promptly on valid notices about uploads and parties that infringe copyright.
What to include in a notice
Your contact details, the work you own, where it appears (a link, a party’s code or an upload’s ID), a statement that you believe the use isn’t authorised, a statement that your notice is accurate, and your signature. The form below asks for each. Sending a notice you know is false can make you liable for the harm it causes.
What happens next
We review each notice, take down matching uploads, and email the uploader what we removed and why. A file we take down can’t be uploaded again.
Repeat infringers
Each takedown counts against the uploader’s account. Accounts that keep infringing are reviewed and closed.
Counter-notices
If your upload was removed by mistake, or you have permission to share it, reply to the email we sent you. Say which upload it was, why you believe it was removed by mistake, and sign with your full name. We pass it to the person who sent the notice and review it.
